OXJAM

Oxfam’s month-long party against poverty where hundreds of music lovers from
all over the country create their own gigs.

August was a huge month of OXJAM gigs around the country. From open mic nights to gigs creeping into the early hours of the morning, Oxfam groups  and supporters ran events all in aid of Oxfam’s vision of a just world without poverty

Oxfam community and university groups put on a bunch of great gigs. A special shout out to Jakeb Stevenson an Oxfam volunteer in Western Australia who organised an OXJAM gig with 13 bands at the North Fremantle Bowls club, raising a massive $3,800. Good one Jakeb!!

Hear from Jakeb about why he put on a gig, what’s involved in organsing a successful OXJAM gig and how it went.
